The Cleveland-raised artist - known to many as the bassist in Alex Sucks - sat down with Medicine Box to talk about scrapping his electronic career, building a new solo project almost by accident, and finishing a brand-new song just 13 hours before performing it live for the first time. On the Performance and That Last-Minute Song
Medicine Box: Can you talk us through the songs you performed today?
Orseno: Yeah. Two of them are out with my friends Aspen Forest and Anna Majes. And then the third one we had to literally make last night to be able to play today. So it was very scary.

Medicine Box: You were playing it and we all were like, they made this last night.
Orseno: Yeah, it was like a rough demo idea. We had a different song planned - I was going to play guitar live, which was going to look cool, but it just wasn't sounding as good as the other two. And I wanted it to be more of just me and my friend Owen playing. So we finished it out, made a version live, learned it, and played it. We practiced for about 13 or 14 hours yesterday.
Medicine Box: Holy shit.

Orseno: Yeah, it was intense. But we're here and we made it work. I honestly get now why Alex gets nervous sometimes - being in that lead role compared to me just having a few drinks, playing bass, and having fun. It's a lot scarier.

Medicine Box: Talk us through the record with Anna, because that's a really fun one. I don't speak French, so I'm curious - lyrically, what's the song about?
